Dr Malcolm Prentice
BSc MB BS FRCP Dr. Prentice is a consultant physician in general medicine, endocrinology and diabetes at Mayday University Hospital, and Honorary Consultant at St. George’s Hospital, South London. He trained at King’s College Hospital and has a BSc in Pharmacology from King’s College, London. Dr. Prentice has a special interest in thyroid disease, thyroid nodules, goitre and radioactive iodine therapy for which he has an ARSAC licence, and was one of the first people in the UK to set up a one-stop thyroid nodule clinic with ultrasound in 1990. He is the co-author of Guidelines for the use of Thyroid Ultrasound by Non-Radiologists and runs the national training course for thyroid ultrasound jointly with the Royal College of Radiologists. Dr. Prentice is on the UK working party for the UK Guidelines on Management of Differentiated Thyroid Cancer in Adults, and former Secretary of the British Thyroid Association. He is also a member of the Society for Endocrinology, European Thyroid Association and Diabetes UK. | |
