Blood can be taken from 08.30 hours in the morning for the convenience of patients who are fasting. All complex endocrine tests are carried out to strict protocols to ensure safety. Commonly requested tests are the insulin stress test, oral glucose tolerance, water deprivation, dexamethasone suppression, hormone day curves and Synacthen stimulation to assess adrenal gland reserve.
